Comments Guidelines
Certain pages on this site allow registered users to add their own comments and thoughts. All of these comments may be viewable by members of the public.
Registration
Members, Parents, Officers and other approved associates (as determined by the webmaster and executive committee) may register with this site, all requests to register are subject to approval by the webmaster before being able to post any comments or view privileged content. When registering, users must agree to abide by these comments guidelines and the Privacy policy of the website. Usernames are displayed above any comments posted, in order to comply with the the Privacy policy . Usernames may be amended to ensure they do not include a young person's Surname.
Policing these guidelines
Any comments, which in the opinion of the webmaster, do not comply with the guidelines below may be removed. Persistent offenders may ultimately have their registration with this website terminated. The Group Scout Leader will be the ultimate arbiter in any dispute.
The Guidelines
- Comment may only be posted by approved registered users who must be Members, Parents of Members, Officers or other approved associates of the 89th Stoke Sea Scout Group. Those who have ceased to be Members, a Parent of a Member, Officer or other approved associate, even if there registration with this site has not yet been terminated, must not post any further comments
- All comments must comply with all elements of the Scout Law, but especially with articles 3 and 7
- A Scout is friendly and considerate
- A Scout has self-respect and respect for others.
- Comments must not include any insulting remarks to any individual weather a Member of the Group or not.
- Bullying will not be tolerated
- It should not be possible to identify any young people. Surnames of young people should never be used in any comments
- Phone numbers and other contact details for yourself or anyone else must not be included
- No advertisements or endorsements.
- Do not bring the Scout Association of the UK, the 89th Stoke Sea Scout Group or any other organisation into disrepute.
